Hello, I am Lea

I am an applied statistician with a PhD in Environmental Sciences, who is passionate about interdisciplinary work and science communication.

Presently, I am holding a postdoctoral research position within the Engineering Risk Analysis (ERA) group at the Technical University of Munich. I am working on the project ‘Navigating Risk: Optimal Data Acquisition through Value of Information Analysis‘, for which I have been awarded a Postdoc.Mobility fellowship by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

In 2024, I was a postdoc in the research group led by David Ginsbourger at the University of Bern, focusing on Gaussian process modelling with applications in chemistry and agriculture. In October 2023, I completed my PhD at the University of Lausanne under the supervision of Niklas Linde. My thesis was titled “Likelihood estimation and risk assessment for inverse problems in the geosciences“.
